Brief history of the Etihad Tower Observation Deck

The Etihad Towers complex opened in 2011 as one of Abu Dhabi's most recognisable mixed-use developments, comprising five striking skyscrapers that house residences, offices, and the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers hotel. The Observation Deck at 300 was later introduced to give visitors access to the city's highest public viewing deck, quickly becoming one of Abu Dhabi's must-visit attractions.

Beyond its panoramic views, the observation deck has become well known for its elegant Afternoon Tea experience, combining luxury hospitality with exceptional city views.

Architecture & design

Designed by Australian architectural firm DBI Design, Etihad Towers is a landmark of contemporary architecture. The five sleek towers feature graceful curved façades clad in reflective glass, creating a distinctive silhouette on Abu Dhabi's waterfront.

The Observation Deck at 300 occupies the 74th floor of Tower 2 and features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that maximise views in every direction. Its sophisticated lounge-style interiors, modern furnishings, and minimalist design ensure the focus remains on the spectacular scenery beyond.
